Maximus announces agreement to combine companies with NFX Gold Inc.
Corporate Overview
Maximus is a precious metals exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange under the symbol MXV. The Company's objective is to build share value through acquisition, exploration, discovery and mine development. Exploration is focused on various stage prospects in North America. The Company is continually reviewing additional precious metal opportunities in North America and Mexico.
Maximus holds three advanced gold exploration projects: Larder Lake in Ontario, Unity in Idaho and Hope Bay in Nunavut. Maximus Ventures' management team has a broad experience in the mining industry, from exploration to production.
The current drilling program at the Larder lake project has thus far resulted in the discovery of new high-grade gold zones.

Impressive Inital Results at Larder Lake:
Results from the drilling completed to date on the property confirmed the presence of an extensive very continuous gold mineralization system containing both high-grade and low-grade lenses within. Furthermore, the style ("carbonate"-type and "flow"-type) and grade (9 to 11 g/t Au range) of the mineralization are typical of the world class Kerr-Addison ore bodies located only 5km to the east, along the same geological structure. With three drill rigs on site, an aggressive 43,000 m drill program underway, Maximus'objective is to report a resource estimate before year end.
Outside of the Larder Lake project, surface drilling is planned for the Unity, Idaho project during the summer (2008).
